POSITION: GOODS COLLECTION OFFICER

Location: Lilongwe

Department: Warehouse / Collections

Reports To: Store Supervisor
Minimum Qualification: School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or goods dispatch role is an added advantage but not a strict requirement.

JOB PURPOSE

To verify paid receipts, accurately pick and release the correct goods and quantities to customers, and keep reliable records of all collections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Receive and verify official receipts presented by customers before releasing any goods.

· Pick, pack, and issue the correct commodities and quantities against each receipt.

· Maintain an accurate collections/goods-issued register for every transaction.

· Conduct basic stock checks and report low stock or discrepancies to the Store Supervisor.

· Assist customers with loading of goods where required.

· Keep the collections area organised, safe, and clearly labelled.

· Report any damaged, missing, or mismatched stock immediately.

· Support periodic stocktaking exercises.

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

· Basic literacy and numeracy sufficient to verify receipts and record quantities.

· Physically able to handle and move commodity stock.

· Honest, reliable, and attentive to detail.

·Good customer-handling manner during goods hand-over.

·Ability to work well as part of a team.
