POSITION: GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND MULTIMEDIA CONTENT CREATOR

Location: Lilongwe

OVERVIEW
Bishop Mackenzie International School – BMIS, the only International Baccalaureate (IB) School in Malawi located in Lilongwe, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of Graphic Designer
and Multimedia Content Creator.

Job Purpose

The Graphic Designer and Multimedia Content Creator will be responsible for shaping and elevating the BMIS’ visual identity across all digital and social media touchpoints.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Design marketing collateral including social media graphics, web banners, flyers, brochures, digital ads and presentations;
• Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all internal and external visual outputs;
• Develop infographics, icons and layout compositions that simplify complex concepts;
• Photo and video editing;
• Cut, trim and assemble video footage for promotional campaigns, social media reels, and events recaps;
• Perform colour correction, audio cleanup, and sound mixing;
• Create static and animated lower thirds, intro/outro sequences, transitions and basic motion graphics;
• Develop strategic visual content tailored to the algorithm and audience of each social platform;
• Assist in planning, scheduling and publishing content using social media tools;
• Stay updated on current social media trends, viral audio, design styles, and platform features.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related fields.
• At least 3 years’ experience in graphic design

Other requirements and Skills

• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends
• Strong knowledge and usage of editing software and applications
• Must be a quick and critical thinker
• Must be able to work under extreme pressure
• Must be able to work in a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Excellent IT skills especially with design and photo editing software;
