ABOUT THE ROLE
The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill this vacant position at Blantyre City Council.

QUALIFICATIONS
👉 Must be a serving Systems Analyst/Programmer (Grade I/M6) with four (4) years' experience at that grade
👉 Bachelor's degree in either Management Information Systems or Computing
👉 A qualification in Cyber Security is an added advantage

DUTIES
👉 Leads the ICT Team at the Council
👉 Prepares detailed system requirements, incorporating system impact analysis and user cases
👉 Conducts reviews with Systems Analysts and other users
👉 Reviews technical system design and quality authorization test strategy/plan documents
👉 Participates in and manages change control procedures and issue-related lists
👉 Defines application problems by liaising with clients
👉 Develops solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions
👉 Controls solutions by establishing specifications and coordinating production with programmers
👉 Provides reference by writing documentation
👉 Supports the Council's mission and objectives by ensuring successful delivery of information systems initiatives
