🎓 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have:
Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Land Management or Geography.
Knowledge of:
Spatial planning
Land-use policies
Development control
Experience in preparing strategic and detailed location plans.
Experience processing development applications.
Experience supporting planning committees.
Strong communication, report-writing and stakeholder-engagement skills.
🔑 KEY DUTIES
The successful candidate will:
Assist in preparing agendas for Technical Officers Committee and Town Planning Committee meetings.
Represent the Council at relevant meetings.
Assist with forward planning activities.
Develop spatial and strategic plans, including Detailed Location Plans.
Scrutinise and process development applications.
Investigate complaints and breaches of planning conditions.
Support enforcement and legal action against planning breaches.
Provide technical guidance to prospective developers.
