1,200 Young Malawians Set to Gather for National Youth Summit

More than 1,200 young Malawians are expected to participate in the 2026 National Youth Summit in Lilongwe. The three-day event, scheduled for August 18 to 20, is being held under the theme “Reflecting on Progress and Prospects for Impactful Youth Development.” Organisers say the summit will provide a platform for young people to assess progress in youth development and identify practical actions that can influence government policy. The Chairperson of Youth Summit 2026, Ernest Mangani, said the event is intended to go beyond discussions and produce outcomes that can contribute directly to policy development.
